Shortly after President Trump took office and details of the Spygate plot to entrap him with the fake “Russian collusion” narrative and remove him from office started to leak, conservatives and supporters of the administration began crying foul.
As Americans learned that figures like FBI Director James Comey, top FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strok, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie Ohr, CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and others were implicated in the plot, it appeared as though the shadowy “deep state” was responsible.
But as conservative media began using the term to describe the alleged suspects, they were lampooned by Democrats and their Left-wing Washington establishment media allies as conspiracy theorists and kooks.
“There is no deep state, you buffoons,” we were told — despite the fact that its well known elements of the U.S. intelligence community, the media, and federal law enforcement have long worked behind the scenes to effect policies and priorities they preferred.
Now, however, the existence of the Deep State has been confirmed and by none other than a pair of former CIA directors personally, Brennan and “W” Bush-era leader John McLaughlin, in public interviews with NPR that were televised on C-SPAN2.
During an interview with Margaret Brennan of CSPAN, former CIA head John McLaughlin along with his successor John Brennan both basically admitted that there is a secretive cabal of people within US intelligence who are trying to ‘take Trump out’.
“Thank God for the deep state,” crowed McLaughlin to cheers from liberals in the crowd — completely unaware that if the deep state Left can remove a conservative president like this, so, too, can the deep state Right remove a Democrat president. (Related: So there IS a ‘deep state’ eh? It’s now been confirmed by former CIA directors who are part of it.)

Of course, Brennan had to chime in on the existence of the deep state (and Trump) as well:

“I mean I think everyone has seen this progression of diplomats and intelligence officers and White House people trooping up to Capitol Hill right now and saying these are people who are doing their duty or responding to a higher call,” McLaughlin added.
“With all of the people who knew what was going on here, it took an intelligence officer to step forward and say something about it, which was the trigger that then unleashed everything else,” McLaughlin said, referring to the unnamed ‘whistleblower’, who it seems has been identified as Eric Ciaramella, a 33-year-old CIA official who worked with Vice President Joe Biden and Brennan, and who also helped carry out the Spygate operation.
“This is the institution within the U.S. government — that with all of its flaws, and it makes mistakes — is institutionally committed to objectivity and telling the truth,” McLaughlin claimed. “It is one of the few institutions in Washington that is not in a chain of command that makes or implements policy. Its whole job is to speak the truth — it’s engraved in marble in the lobby.”
Mind you, a 33-year-old CIA staffer has nowhere near the authority to question the president of the United States. After all, if a four-star general doesn’t have the authority, a low-level political hack most certainly does not.
And yet, a sizable portion of the American people have been led to believe by the Democratic propaganda machine — otherwise known as the “mainstream media” — that Ciaramella is to be believed automatically.
The deep state does exist. It’s been in existence since the modern intelligence community was born after World War II. And if it doesn’t consume our duly elected president, he’d better take some action to reign it in and make the players accountable for what they tried to do to him.
Or they will do it to another president at some point in the future.
